Monthly care

A website is not a piece of furniture you assemble once and leave alone. Systems get updated, certificates expire, opening hours change. You can look after it yourself — or I can.

The short version

From €39 a month I take care of updates, backups, uptime checks and the small changes. It is optional, it is a separate contract, and without it the site runs just the same.

Three levels

They differ in how much change time is included each month and how closely I keep an eye on the site. You can switch level whenever you like, up or down.

What happens without it

I am writing it out in full, because it is the part nobody usually tells you.

The site stays online: Nothing gets switched off. It is yours, the files are yours, the domain is in your name.
Nobody does the updates: After a year or two the small things pile up: a form that no longer sends, an expired certificate, a photo that should have been replaced and wasn’t.
Changes are billed by the hour: They stay possible, but each becomes its own job: quote, wait, invoice. With care they are already included.
You can join later: No door closes. If you change your mind after a year, I look at the state of the site and we start.

For a site I did not build

I also take on sites built by others. First I look at what is there: how it is built, what runs underneath, what can be updated and what cannot. That costs {bestand} once, and I credit it against the care if you then take it.

The terms, in full

Minimum term of twelve months

After that you cancel whenever you like, at the end of the month. No automatic renewal you notice too late.

No increases out of nowhere

If the price ever changes, you hear about it first and you decide.

The site stays yours

Even if you cancel. You get the access details and carry on alone or with someone else.

One person to talk to

You write to me and I answer. No ticket system, no hotline.

Shall I look after it?

Tell me which site it is and I will tell you what it needs. If I build the site, care simply comes with the quote — you do not have to decide now.
